Christine Kirkpatrick lives and works from her home studio on the north side of Carlisle, a place where creativity and inspiration flow freely. Her journey as an artist began in her childhood, a time when art was a constant companion and a natural form of expression. However, her path has been far from linear, evolving through education, career, family, and eventually back to the creative core that defines her.
Christine's formal artistic journey began at Hereford College of Art and Design, where she studied Fashion Design at the B-Tec level. Her passion and dedication took her further, earning a degree with honours from Bretton Hall College in West Yorkshire. Armed with her education, she stepped into the fashion industry, where her talent and hard work enabled her to contribute significantly for many years.
Life took a different turn when Christine decided to focus on her family. Yet, as her children grew and started school, the creative spark within her reignited. In 2016, she began to explore her artistic impulses once more, navigating her way back into the world of art with a renewed sense of purpose. Over the years, Christine has developed not only her technical skills but also her confidence as a practicing artist.
Inspiration and Artistic Philosophy
For Christine, inspiration comes from the world around her—nature, life occurrences, people, emotions, and the subtleties of everyday experiences.
